The DWP and other live events organized by Ismaya are under its division Ismaya Live. The success of this division demonstrates Christian and his partners' ability to successfully diversify from F&B into the related sector of holding live events such as concerts and EDM festivals. Ismaya's first live event was, appropriately enough, at Blowfish, in 2008, the Blowfish Warehouse Project. The company moved into live events held outside its own venues after a tragedy. Just two weeks before the 2010 event, a brawl outside Blowfish led to some deaths and damage to the club, making it impossible to hold the event at the club. With tickets already sold and the event scheduled, the group scrambled to find a new venue. "Whatever we do, we believe in delivering our promises to our partners, sponsors, customers, and artists. We commit to them, even though others may give up, we chose not to give up," Christian says. Christian, who has a degree in entrepreneurship from Babson College in the U.S., loves to travel with his family when he gets time off from work. He prefers beautiful and secluded places to unwind, as his work usually takes him to big cities and energetic lifestyle venues.
