FOLLOWING their hard-fought election, Joko Widodo and Jusuf Kalla have taken the first steps to form a government, setting up a special team to carry out the preliminary task of putting people and plans together. Comprising mostly academics and professionals, the team will attempt to translate the vision and mission promised during their campaign into the new government?s policies and programs. The working cabinet, which focuses on a specific program, is modelled after the one set up by Prime Minister Djuanda during the Sukarno era.
