They were arrested by the Special Counterterrorism Unit upon suspicion of intending to attack the police at the Mobile Brigade Command Headquarters in Depok, West Java, after terrorism convicts started a riot that resulted in the deaths of five police officers. Siska Nur Azizah and Dita Siska Millenia admitted they sympathize with the terrorists who are fighting against thogut (tyranny) and want to establish sharia (Islamic law). Siska Nur Azizah, a student at the Indonesia University of Education (UPI) who approves of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), developed her understanding of Islam through social media groups and the Internet. Radicalism is shutting down common sense on university campuses.

There are 40 members on the Turn Back Crime (TBC) channel, including Siska and Dita. They have known each other a long time and often send each other private messages. When the group asked its members to go the Mobile Brigade Command Headquarters, Siska and Dita put together a plan. Siska would wait for Dita, who was coming from Majenang in Bandung, and they would go to Depok together.
