The election for Jakarta?s new governor will be held in February next year but the candidates have begun their unofficial campaigns. Incumbent Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) and his running mate Djarot Saiful Hidayat are being challenged by Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono running with Sylviana Murni, and by Anies Rasyid Baswedan and Sandiaga Salahudin Uno.
