A NOVEL APPROACH TO FIGHTING CRIME THE National Police is back on track to arrest KPK investigator Novel Baswedan over the same case: the shooting of a suspected thief in 2004. The case first appeared after this anti-graft commission exposed massive corruption in the purchase of driving test simulators by the police's Traffic Division in 2012. Tempo retraces the Novel case by interviewing witnesses and poring over documents, concluding that there is no case against Novel Baswedan. Could this be a perpetuation of the campaign to undermine the KPK, following the indictment of Comr. Gen. Budi Gunawan for bribery?
