Many of us have heard of the American dream where anyone who works hard and diligently can get ahead. But we also have many examples of individuals who are living the Indonesian dream. Ahmad Sahroni, our cover story subject is one such example. Hailing from a humble background, he now serves as a Member of Parliament and through sheer hard work has made a success of himself. Sahroni?s story reflects the struggle but also the triumph of modern Indonesia. Not everyone is born with a silver spoon but every Indonesian, given the opportunity and with hard work, can make a name for himself or herself.
